The Roman Road To Salvation

For those who are struggling and want out and want to know for sure that you are going to go to heaven when you die, this is scripture that will help you.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Everyone of us has sin in our heart. This sin literally means "missing the mark". Any sin, great or small in our eyes, is the same in God's eyes. It keeps us separated from God.

Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death..." Our sin has a final result. And that is death. Since all of us have sin, all of us must die spiritually.

Romans 6:23b "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." This gift is totally free and is available to everyone of us. It is found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:8 "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!" Nothing we do can earn this gift. We were dead in our sins, yet Christ chose to give himself for us.

Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved!" We must accept this gift by asking Him to be the Lord of our lives. If we pray and ask Him in to our life, He promises to save us!

Romans 10:9-10 "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." We must pray and ask Him to forgive us of our sins and live His life through us. He will forgive us of every sin we have or ever will commit. You will see changes in your life. Although He does not promise that our problems will go away, He does promise he will deliver us through these trial.
